My CFIA is an online portal for managing and tracking regulatory permissions, checking food business licenses, export certificates, and other related information with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
What you need to do:
- Create a contact profile: Choose an option to sign up and sign in:
- GCKey username and password, or
- Sign-in partner
- Complete all the required fields in My CFIA
- Click ‘Submit’
After that, you can use My CFIA to:
- Identify yourself in My CFIA
- Request online services for personal use.
- Create a party profile for business purposes
- Create an ASP profile
- Accept invitations from others to join their business party profiles.
- Create a party profile for business use
The profile will help you in:
- Sharing your business information
- Requesting online services on behalf of your business.
- Registering your business as a party in the system of CFIA.
- Inviting contacts and ASPs to join your party profile.
Get started:
- Sign in to My CFIA contact profile
- Choose ‘Enroll New Party, Alternative Service Provider/Enter Invite Code’
- Choose ‘Continue as a Party’
- Follow the instructions to complete your profile.
Once your party profile is marked Active, CFIA will review and validate it within 5 business days. Processing may take longer if any information or documents are missing or invalid.
What information do you require:
- Legal name of your business
- 9-digit Business number
- Office address
- Billing address
- Proof of authority form for My CFIA
In My CFIA, you can set principal, secondary, and optional party contacts to set administration status for who can have full access, who can view, and who will modify the business account.
